I always thought wow when I saw a girl with nice volume at the back hair. I have tried and tried to achieve the same result, with a regular comb and tons of hairspray, but I always ended up with tangled hair instead . But then I learned a few tricks at a ghd event and was ecstatic with their teasing brush!
You can choose whether you want to straighten your hair or create curls. You can see some previous guides here, here and here. I started off with a little Root Lifter and Style Heat Protect Spray in my hair. Then I dried it with ghd’s new Air Proffesional Hairdryer. It is also super nice to handle and makes mush less noise than a normal hairdryer. Dry it with a round brush, I’ve used one from ghd, which is made of natural hair, it gives extra shine to the hair.
Afterwards I have straighten it with a wide ghd styler, cause it goes a bit faster, because of the wide surface. And now for my new toy! The teasing brush from ghd, which is called Narrow Dressing Brush. It is also made of natural hair. Do sections of hair, I’ve made two in front, on each side and two at the back.
Tease it with downward movements to the hair roots, then take the styler and warm around the teased hair, let it cool and comb it lightly through. The heat helps to fixate your hair and keep the fullness. Once that is done, comb back the outer hair back and voilà, there is volume in your hair! I have finished off with a little serum at the tips and some shine spray. Super quick and easy, and you can always vary the amount of fullness you want, depending on how many sections you make in your hair.
